Remember that game that you used to play as a kid? the one where you would have to name a city with the last letter from the name of another city?? Well, i was pleasantly reminded of it over lunch the other day and after a trip half way around the world, i succumbed a piggish defeat to a woman obsessed with her bangs.
Now that i’ve brushed away the cobwebs and blown off the dust on this blog, i’m ready to write again. You know how they say that ‘life inspires’.. well i think i’ve just woken up after all these years in a cold sweat to realize that my little box of life’s musings have just gone empty.
Here begins a new search, a new journey to explore every nook and corner of life to find a new muse. If you get to her before me, please be so kind to let her know i am looking for her.
My two cents worth of contribution to the office murals. I’ll be honest – the first one was inspired by an artwork done by our saudi office. The second one, however is 100% homegrown and for the few of you who know the real meaning behind that visual: ‘winks’ to you :D
Here is an ad that took me way too long to produce and put together considering the simplicity of the idea. Sometimes it takes a while to sort things out when you keep listening to too many people. Must admit that Sakib’s suggestion of using an older woman did sound repulsively out of place at first, but the ‘Tejal ‘n Anil’ duo eventually made it pop. So, Thanks guys!

The evening was most definitely ‘not’ a roar for us… but i think we purrrr’d pretty well. Four bronzes in the back pocket is most certainly not a grand entry but i’ll cross my fingers for the other shows and ‘meaow’ for luck.

I’d be slightly more excited about this piece if i had posted it up as soon as i finished working on it (a few months ago actually). Right now, the enthusiasm level has sorta dissipated a little from a ‘i love it!!!!’ to a ‘i like it’.
But Kritika was good fun to work with on the shoot (despite the mishaps ;) and it was awesome fun putting it all together (despite the long hours). All in all – good fun!
Finally after months of relentless adjusting, tweaking, writing-rewriting copy and emails with Gene Hashmi of Greenpeace India, we were able to get this press ad released in this mornings ‘Emirates Today’ (page07). It’s a call to ban the incandescent bulb and switch to compact fluoroscent bulbs in an effort to control our climate crisis.

In a rather aimless rummage around the attic which is my hard drive… i came across this identity that i designed quite a few months ago. For a total lack of intelligent content that this blog of mine has become… here is another sorry excuse of a post intended to buy both time and patience until further notice.
