For the past three years, Lynn and i've partnered with the fabulous illustrators of ILoveDust in the UK to come up with these quirky promotional posters that seamlessly showcase offering and concept.
For the 2014 World Cup, Lynn and i came up with this series of posters to show Mucho's support for Mexico. Since the sport of soccer can be quite aggressively competitive, It only seemed appropriate that Mucho express Mexico's intent to ‘beat’ their competitors. What could be a more authentic symbol than pinatas styled up in competitor flags?
We worked with Mexikolor and Daniel Ehrenworth to produce and photograph this poster series. The posters were put up around Toronto as wild postings during the World Cup and customers got the chance to smash the piñata and “defeat” the opponent prior to the match.
Mucho Burrito wanted to refresh their in-store hot sauce offering and as a part of the process, we were asked to rename and repackage the sauces in a way that reflected the cheeky personality of the brand. Lynn diligently tasted each hot sauce to find new names as i began illustrating varying degrees of tongue torturing inferno.
As a part of the Mucho rebrand, we proposed to extend the Mucho voice to a collection of quirky tee designs for staff and franchise management. The client was 100% onboard and we called up our friends ILoveDust from across the pond to help us bring this to life in a record time of 2 weeks.
